So look, lets be real now. Twitter will not survive. This isn’t like Draft Day where Elon pulls an amazing trade and saves Twitter. Twitter will keep failing. No one wants to work there, they cant get true advertisers, and I do not think the eight dollars per mont of 140,000 accounts (130,000 and unauthentic) will help bring Twitter to the promise land.
Now am I upset? Well, a little. I left writing and Facebook in 2015 to focus on building myself on Twitter. I did a good job until the last year or so. But now it is just an absolute shit show here. But all good things come to an end. And now I have to decide my next move.
I am lucky that I am able to decide. A lot of people have invested their entire brand into Twitter. I did as well but I can weather a small storm of being “who the fuck is that guy with 30 followers on TikTok,”
so here is goes…
This is going to be my news location. Yes, this Substack, four times a week. Talking about family, health, politics, and art. I am going to leave it free for a while. Now I do need to make a living so I will be posting a “buy me a coffee” link on here or promote the paid option for a subscriptions but if not, have no fear, 95% of everything will be free. And I promise it will be good reading. Longer versions of my amazing tweets, like 5000 words on why Miracle Whipe sucks.
Now, I am also going to crank up the ol’ Instagram. I am going to use that for thoughts, progress pics, and family. My name there is tonyposnanski. I am wearing an orange hoodlie. But I will be posting there more and more.
I also have a TikTok which I havent posted on a while BUT I love using it for my creative side. So I will be posting there more.
And I am staying on Twitter till the end. But not as much.
I am selling my art through the weekend on Twitter (Hopefully). I will need to shut down my DMs so then I am moving that to Etsy and just posting on IG.
So that is my plan. I was successful online before Twitter. I will be after as well.
But it will take some time. And being on the upside of depression, I am glad I have that.
Thank you all for reading. I am going to continue to keep my posts open for all subscribers. Would love if you would consider a paid subscription of “buy me a coffee” here. Thank you all for reading!
Thanks much Tony. 100% with you and looking forward to this next chapter!
