So it’s Christmas. It’s a day where people spend time with their families for 12 minutes and then are mad that nothing is open. It’s a day where people are mad there isn’t a Lexus with a bow in their driveway. Some people love today, others hate it.
Personally, I hate the holidays. I always have. It doesn’t matter what you celebrate in December, I do not enjoy it. But I also understand that for some, this is a time that people can put everything aside and embrace their loved ones.
Anyway, this is going to be a quick post. More of a thank you. Thank you to those who have helped me throughout the years. Those who have purchased art from me when they found a piece the loved. Those who purchased art when they didn’t need it but knew I needed a little help. Thank you to those who checked in on me when I was down. Thank you to those who wrote kind things to keep me going. And thank you to those who have been there for me in general.
The last couple of years have been the hardest in my life. Mentally and physically. And I can finally see a small light at the end of the tunnel. And I needed that more than anything this year.
I’m going to focus on two things. My health and my writing. I have such a small audience here and on post (follow me at post.news/TonyPosnanski) but truthfully, I am betting on my talent to get more and more people to read my posts regularly. And it’s a long haul but i’m in a place where I can now. I haven’t been in this place for a few years.
So expect more here and on post. Twitter is just a fucked up place that all I do there is tell horrible people to fuck off. It’s Just not fun. Like I can’t explain it. It was always bad but it’s just different. Plus how many times can I tell Nick Adam’s to eat shit?
But thank you for being here and I really hope you just have a nice day. And yes, I am going to have some cool things coming up including videos and better chats and one on one talks so consider a paid subscription, I hate putting writing behind a paywall but this is my main source of income as well. So I will just keep for free as long as I can. Which hopefully will be a while.
And as always, if you ever wanted to “buy me a coffee” you can at Ko-Fi.com/TonyPosnanski
Merry Christmas and all that shit.
I'm not much into holidays either! I see you. ❤️
Our living room ceiling literally collapsed (burst pipe - flood - CRASH!) so it was an unforgettable Christmas, that's for sure. Unlike Twitter, no one was hurt and all the damage can be repaired. Like you, I am not a lover of the holidays, but I got through the day and the Call the Midwife Special was on at 9 and that is my fave show of the year! Hugs to you, Tony, and I look forward to reading more of these posts in 2023. Love, Jess x
