Let me start off by saying what happened on CNN last night was not a town hall. It just wasn’t. CNN decided to give Donald Trump a one hour infomercial where the audience was plucked from his rallies and cheered every horrible thing he said. Kaitlin Collins, who “moderated” this, did an absolutely horrible job. In fairness, there was no other possible outcome than for her to do a horrible job. I also must add I am not a fan of hers in general, but she did deserve better than what she got.
Today when I woke up I was expecting my timeline on Twitter to be flooded with Trump clips, but it wasn’t. I had to search for a couple of clips which were posted by eleven dollar warriors. Yes, those are the blue checkmarks who idolize Musk and Trump.
I was looking for some sort of commentary and it was again hard to find. I saw something about Van Jones but I absolutely cannot stand him so I did not proceed further. I am guessing he cried or said Donald Trump was president again. I really do not know.
But the weird part I am trying to get at is no one truly cared about this town hall. Maybe some Trump fans did. But the majority of America did not.
So while I do not understand why CNN did this, one thing became clear to me.
There is not a chance Trump will win in 2024.
Not a chance. None. Zero. Let me way it again. Trump will not win in 2024.
You are probably disagreeing or screenshotting this to laugh at me next year. That is fine. Donald Trump will win the nomination. Ron DeSantis is an absolute joke. He wins in Florida because Florida is a red state. Enough with this purple or we are on the fence (I say we because I am a Floridian. I am proud because my local officials are all Democrats.)
There are no Republicans that can compete with Trump. Who? Nikki Haley? The other people that I do not feel like Googling to put in this? Who?
No one. And the DeSantis people really want to make DeSantis happen, and he won’t.
So that puts him up against Joe Biden. Look, I like Joe. But I also understand that he is not loved by all. He is not even liked by most. But he is good enough to win again. And win bigger than he did in 2020.
You might be thinking “Didn’t 2016 teach you anything, stupid Tony?!?” First of all, that is not nice to call me stupid. Second of all, yes. Donald Trump wasn’t the gigantic asshole he is today. He was a gigantic asshole that no one knew how he would govern the nation. Now that people know, he will not win the majority of the vote. Nope. You can give this man as many infomercials as you want. You can make special NFT’s for Trump. Do whatever you want. The sexual abuser will never ever be in office again.
And I do not understand CNN, but I truly do not care anymore. CNN used to be a huge part of my day. I have no watched it for close to two years. The only one I miss is Jim Acosta. Everyone else I do not.
So that is kind of what I got out of the last 24 hours. No matter how hard people try to make Trump happen…
It wont. I guarantee it.

I’m at a loss as to what CNN was attempting to do. An unstructured interview by an amateur in front of a hand picked audience of Republicans is bizarre. What was CNN’s end goal? Assuming there was one.
Agree with every word. I’m unnerved however, by the under reaction to the absurdity of it all. Maybe I’m just overwhelmed by the underwhelming reactions to so many of even this weeks events- just another mass shooting, an ex President found guilty of sexual assault ( should have been in a criminal proceeding if there was true justice), a bizarre town hall filled with blatant lies and insane rhetoric, and there is little chatter...numbing
